Privacy Policy

How C-Raw Studios collects, uses and protects your information.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

1. Introduction

C-Raw Studios Limited ("C-Raw", "we", "us") trades as C-Raw Studios and operates from Telegraph, Howards Nursery, Handcross Road, Plummers Plain, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 6NX. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use our website or services. We are the data controller for the personal information we hold about you.

2. Data we collect

We may collect: contact details such as your name, email address and phone number; artist and project information you provide through enquiry, booking or submission forms, including genre, bio and links to your music; files you upload for mixing, mastering or creative services; booking and payment information; and limited technical data such as your IP address and browser type collected by our hosting and forms provider. Card details are handled securely by our payment provider, Stripe, and we do not store your full card details.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to: respond to enquiries and provide the services you request; manage bookings, sessions and projects; process payments and fulfil beat purchases; send booking confirmations, reminders and follow-ups; deliver purchased downloads and licence agreements; and communicate with you about your bookings and projects. We do not currently operate a newsletter or email-marketing platform and do not subscribe you to marketing communications through this website.

4. Legal basis

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on: the performance of a contract, to deliver services and process payments you have requested; our legitimate interests, to operate and improve our business and to communicate with you about your bookings; your consent, where you provide it for a specific purpose such as optional media permission; and legal obligations, where we are required to keep records.

5. Sharing and processors

We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers who help us operate: Base44 (our hosting, forms, database and authentication provider); Stripe (payments); Acuity Scheduling (booking management — Acuity is a separate service and collects its own data under its own terms when you book); and our transactional email provider, Resend, for confirmations and service-related messages. Each provider processes data under its own privacy and security standards. We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. We rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or the provider's recognised transfer mechanisms where required. We will keep transfers under review.

7. Data retention

We keep your information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements. Booking, session, payment and licence records are retained for the duration of our relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards as required. We do not publish a single fixed retention period, because the appropriate period depends on the type of information and the legal requirement that applies. You can ask us about retention for your data by contacting us.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@c-rawhq.com. If you have a concern about how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Children's information

Some of our services, such as Creative Workshops, Education and Legacy Sessions, are aimed at young people. For participants under 18, we collect information through and with the involvement of a parent, guardian or responsible referring organisation. We do not knowingly collect unnecessary personal data from children without appropriate adult authorisation.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure storage, restricted access and trusted providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies and similar technologies required for basic functionality. We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. If we introduce non-essential cookies or analytics in future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate information and controls.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date below shows when it was last revised. We will indicate significant changes on our website or by contacting you where appropriate.
